According to the report, board trustee Rev. Jack Swann resigned and left the meeting following the vote.

In a news release from St. John’s, the board voted to dismiss Mr. Schuessler because he did not have enough support from the board to be “successful at the helm.”

John Kren, St. John’s controller and compliance officer, will serve as interim CEO. The board also voted to work with a consultant to “improve their efficiency and effectiveness as a board,” according to the release.
