Wisconsin hospital CEO to retire

Kathy Kuepers, RN, will retire next year as CEO of Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, Wis.

Ms. Kuepers has been with the hospital for more than 42 years, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. She has held roles including registered nurse, director of nursing, and COO. She has served as CEO since 2018.

During her tenure, Ms. Kuepers has played a key role in the building of a new 80,000-square-foot replacement facility, which is scheduled to open in the spring 2025, according to the release.

The replacement facility will allow MHLC to offer a specialized MRI service and establish an electronic intensive care unit in collaboration with UW Hospital in Madison, Wis.
