Wilson Medical Center names Preston Callison COO: 3 points

Wilson (N.C.) Medical Center, a part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint, appointed Preston Callison COO, effective Sept. 26, according to The Wilson Times.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Callison previously served as assistant administrator of UP Health System-Marquette (Mich.), another Duke LifePoint facility.

2. Prior to UP Health System-Marquette, he served as an administrative resident at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Ky.

3. Mr. Callison is succeeding Bert Beard, who left to take on the role of CEO at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, N.C.
