Ms. Fox had previously served as president and is now president and CEO. She succeeds Jon B. Schandler, who retired as CEO on April 30.
In a news release, Ms. Fox said she would make sure the hospital continues to provide the community with excellent patient-centered care, and will look for ways to leverage the hospital’s alliance with Montefiore Health System, based in Bronx, N.Y., to improve patient care.
Ms. Fox began her career as a pediatric intensive care nurse and went on to serve in several leadership positions after earning an MBA in healthcare administration from Baruch College-Mount Sinai School of Medicine, according to the hospital.
She was senior manager of healthcare consulting at Ernst & Young and then, for 14 years, was senior vice president of Physician and Ambulatory Network Services at Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System, according to White Plains. She joined White Plains in 2010 as senior vice president of administration and was named president in 2013.
