Western Arizona Regional Medical Center CEO resigns: 4 things to know

Bullhead City, Ariz.-based Western Arizona Regional Medical Center CEO Thomas Salerno resigned, according to a Mohave Valley Daily News report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Officials did not give the reason for Mr. Salerno’s departure.

2. Mr. Salerno became CEO of the medical center in 2016.

3. Prior to that, he was CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif.

4. Mike Stenger, who has 30-plus years of healthcare experience, including several leadership roles at hospitals, will take over as interim CEO.
