Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Ross has been serving as interim leader of the health system since April 2016.
2. He has worked at West Tennessee Healthcare since 1985, initially serving as nurse in the surgical intensive care unit.
3. He has served in numerous leadership roles at the health system, including as director of case management/social services, vice president of hospital services and COO.
4. He is a member of the Tennessee Hospital Association and Tennessee Organization of Nurse Executives. He was also named to the Emergency Medical Services Board of Directors for the State of Tennessee in 2014.
5. Mr. Ross holds a master of science degree in health services administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
