Wesley Med Center COO Steve Edgar Promoted to CEO of Galichia Heart Hospital

Steve Edgar, current COO of Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., has been named CEO of Galichia Heart Hospital, also in Wichita, according to a report by The Wichita Eagle.

Mr. Edgar has been with Wesley Medical Center since 2007. He is replacing Steven Harris, who announced earlier this year that he will retire as CEO of Galichia Heart Hospital at the end of December. No replacement for Mr. Edgar at Wesley Medical Center was named in the report.

Galichia Heart Hospital was acquired by Wesley Medical Center in February 2012. Both hospitals are owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA.
