Warner Thomas of Ochsner Health Named 2012 Chair of AHA’s Section for Healthcare Systems

Warner L. Thomas, president and COO of Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, has been appointed the 2012 chair of the American Hospital Association’s Section for Health Care Systems, a constituency section representing health systems across the country.

Mr. Thomas has been president and COO of Ochsner Health since 2005. He succeeds Anthony Spezia, president and CEO of Covenant Health in Knoxville, Tenn., who will now serve as immediate past chairman. Stephen Hanson, senior executive vice president of Texas Health Resources in Arlington, Texas, is the chairman-elect and will assume the role of chairman in 2013.
