Ms. Farmer has been serving as the health system’s CNO since 2018, according to a Feb. 16 news release. She assumed COO duties and began her dual role on Jan. 1.
During her tenure as CNO, Ms. Farmer increased nurse engagement to 75%; led clinical teams through COVID-19; expanded surgical services to the Augusta Health Outpatient Pavilion; and improved patient experience.
“In addition to responsibilities as chief nursing officer at Augusta Health, Crystal will also now play a vital leadership role in the day-to-day operations,” said Mary Mannix, the system’s president and CEO. “Farmer is a strong leader and is passionate about operational excellence, professional development, patient care best practices, and staff engagement. She will undoubtedly steer Augusta Health toward new heights of excellence and patient-centered care.”
