Former CEO John Duval announced his retirement last week.
Here are four things to know about Ms. Davis:
1. Ms. Davis joined VCU Health nine years ago as the organization’s COO.
2. Prior to VCU, Ms. Davis maintained a 30-year career at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, now Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health. She served as president and vice president for corporate business development and innovation.
3. In her role as COO, Ms. Davis oversaw VCU’s successful transition to a critical-care hospital, the design and occupancy of the children’s pavillion and the design and implementation of the system-wide STAR service initiative.
4. Ms. Davis obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from East Carolina University in Greenville and is a certified fellow of the AmericanCollege of Healthcare Executives.
