Jeff Sandene, executive vice president and CFO of Charleston, W.Va.-based Vandalia Health, began his new role June 1 as president and CEO of the system, according to a LinkedIn post.

Mr. Sandene was initially expected to succeed Dave Ramsey in July upon his retirement, however, the process has been fast tracked following the appointment of Pat Keel as Vandalia Health’s executive vice president and CFO.

“Today, I begin a new chapter as President and CEO of Vandalia Health,” Mr. Sandene said in the post. “I am honored by the trust placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside the incredible physicians, nurses, staff, volunteers, and leaders who make Vandalia such a special organization.”
