ValleyCare Health System CEO David Fikse to Resign, Replacement Named

ValleyCare Health System of Ohio in Youngstown has announced that CEO David Fikse will leave his position at the end of the year, according to a report by The Vindicator.

The health system has named Kirk Ray as its next CEO. Most recently, Mr. Ray served as CEO of DeKalb Health, previously DeKalb Memorial Hospital, in Auburn, Ind., according to the report. Mr. Ray will work with Mr. Fikse before the leadership change is complete at the end of the year.

Mr. Fikse is leaving ValleyCare to take a new job in Franklin, Tenn., according to the report.
