Ridgewood, N.J.-based Valley Health System named Puneeta Sharma, MD, vice president for the system and expanded her role as chief medical officer for Valley Medical Group.
In her expanded role, Dr. Sharma will oversee the operations and staff of all Valley Medical Group’s specialties, oversee the system’s office of academic affairs, and support the growth and development of graduate medical education programs and research initiatives.
Dr. Sharma joined the system in 2017 as director of palliative care and was named CMO of the medical group in 2022.
