Miranda Garvin has been named president of UofL Health-Frazier Rehabilitation Institute in Louisville, Ky., effective Dec. 7.
Dr. Garvin has nearly 15 years of experience in rehabilitation services and began her career as a physical therapist at Frazier Rehab, according to a Dec. 10 news release from UofL Health shared with Becker’s. She later served as clinical supervisor, senior director of rehabilitation and interim CEO of the institute.
In her most recent role, Dr. Garvin led efforts to integrate inpatient, outpatient and community-based wellness services across the institute. She also launched the Center for Advanced NeuroRehab and secured $6 million in funding to expand the spinal cord injury program.
Frazier Rehabilitation Institute is a 135-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital and offers services at 20 outpatient locations.
