University of Michigan Medical School Appoints Dr. Kevin Ward Executive Director of Medical Innovation

University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor announced the appointment of Kevin Ward, MD, as executive director of medical innovation.

Dr. Ward, a professor in the department of emergency medicine, is the first person to hold this position. In his new role, Dr. Ward will bring together a broad array of efforts to help accelerate innovation and commercialization of the medical school’s biomedical research He will also lead efforts to attract commercial partners through novel partnership models.
