Dr. Caesar, who previously served as the health system’s chief equity and inclusion officer, shared the news of her new position in a June 29 LinkedIn post.
A spokesperson with UNC Health said the new role “aims to improve access to care and health literacy” in rural communities across the state. As chief community health officer, Dr. Caesar will focus on bridging the gap between hospitals, clinics and patients.
