UH Samaritan Medical Center names Dr. Timothy Kasprzak CMO: 5 things to know

UH Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, Ohio, has selected Timothy Kasprzak, MD, to serve as CMO, according to a Richland Source report.

Five things to know:

1. Dr. Kasprzak, who assumed the role June 1, previously worked at Cleveland-based MetroHealth System.

2. At MetroHealth, he served in several leadership roles, including director of abdominopelvic and oncologic imaging.

3. Dr. Kasprzak is also an associate professor of radiology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.

4. In addition to his medical training, he holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

5. He succeeds James Mooney, MD, who is stepping down as chief medical officer but will continue to provide clinical care at the hospital.
