UC Health hospital taps chief nursing officer

Tara Williams, DNP, RN, was named vice president and chief nursing officer of Cincinnati-based UC Medical Center, effective Jan. 19.

Dr. Williams will oversee the academic medical center’s nursing staff across various specialty divisions, according to a Jan. 23 system news release. She will also aim to enhance patient care outcomes, advance nurse education and foster the center’s culture.

She first joined UC Health in 2021 as associate chief nursing officer for the UC Medical Center’s critical care division and became the leader of its medical-surgical division in 2023.
