U of Tennessee Medical Center names chief academic, dean of graduate school

The University of Tennessee Medical Center has named Robert Craft, MD, as senior vice president and chief academic officer, effective Aug. 1. He will also serve as the fifth dean of the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine.

Dr. Craft has served in the same positions on an interim basis since October and will continue to lead all academic and education efforts within the Knoxville-based health system, according to an Aug. 2 news release.

He first joined the medical center as an anesthesiologist in 1994 and served as chair of the anesthesiology department from 2015 to 2022.
