U of New Mexico Hospital taps Dr. Steve McLaughlin as chief medical officer

Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico Hospital named Steve McLaughlin, MD, as its new chief medical officer, Rio Rancho Observer reporter Sept. 5. His appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2023.

Dr. McLaughlin joined the faculty in 1998. He currently serves as chair of the University of New Mexico’s department of emergency medicine and interim senior associate dean for clinical affairs at the university’s school of medicine.
