William Russell, CEO of Three Rivers (Mich.) Health, has resigned.

1. Mr. Russell is leaving Three Rivers Health after nine years of service.

2. The organization’s statement did not note the reason for Mr. Russell’s departure.

3. David A. Shannon, an employee of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources, will take over as interim CEO.

4. Quorum Health Resources provides hospital management and consulting services to Three Rivers Health.

5. Mr. Shannon most recently served as a transitional president and CEO at Geisinger Jersey Shore (Pa.) Hospital.
