Heart Hospital of Austin (Texas) has named Kim Barker, BSN, chief nursing officer.
She stepped into her new role July 21, succeeding Charles McCoy, who moved to St. David’s Medical Center in Austin as chief nursing officer, according to a July 28 news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Barker first joined the St. David’s HealthCare system in 2006 as a patient care technician. Most recently, she served as assistant chief nursing officer at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, a role she assumed in 2022.
