Mary Dale Peterson, MD, has stepped down from her role as executive vice president of Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Children’s Hospital after spending 42 years with the organization.
She first joined Driscoll Children’s in 1984 as a pediatric anesthesiologist, later serving as medical director of the Driscoll Children’s Medicaid Health Plan and then as the health plan’s president and CEO, she wrote in a Sept. 2 LinkedIn post.
Dr. Peterson is now focused on her consulting company, MDP Health Solutions, she wrote in the post.
“Words cannot describe the transformation I have seen over these 42 years but what has always been the same is the incredible people who work at Driscoll, always committed to our mission of serving the children and families in South Texas, no matter their circumstances,” she wrote. “It has been my privilege and honor to serve these families and the people I have been fortunate to work with.”
