Currently, Dr. Coopwood serves as president and CEO of Regional Medical Center at Memphis (Tenn.).
The association also selected Mark Medley, president of hospital operations at Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare as chairman-elect of the board. Joe Landsman, president and CEO of University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, became immediate past chairman.
