Central Texas Medical Center CEO Steps Down

Gary L. Jepson, CEO of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, has announced his resignation after nine years with the hospital, according to a San Marcos Mercury report.

Mr. Jepson has led the Adventist Health System hospital through several expansions and renovations, including the addition of a new women’s center, neonatal intensive care unit and cardiac unit. The hospital currently has a hospital-acquired infection rate below 1 percent.

An interim CEO will be appointed before Mr. Jepson departs, according to the report.
