Tenet COO Stephen Newman Plans to Retire in 2012

Stephen Newman, MD, COO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corporation, will be retiring in mid-2012, according to a Dow Jones Newswires report.

Dr. Newman, a pediatric gastroenterologist, became COO of Tenet Healthcare in 2007. Prior to that, he was CEO of Tenet’s California operations. According to the report, the company plans to look both internally and externally for a replacement COO.
