Swanson comes to Surgical Directions with an extensive background in cross-functional leadership, having driven results through large scale growth and change initiatives with healthcare and consulting industry firms including Deloitte, Accenture and GE Healthcare. Most recently Swanson led the performance turnaround of a niche research, intelligence and consulting professional services firm as its Chief Operating Officer/Partner.

“John comes to us with nearly two decades of strategic and operational accomplishments” said Jeffry Peters, CEO of Surgical Directions. “He has proven to be a successful and trusted leader with a strong reputation for developing the business and talent, while inspiring high performance teams.”

Swanson commented, “Surgical Directions is firmly established in the perioperative space through OR transformations that have resulted in significant and sustainable improvements in hospital quality, efficiency and financial metrics. The firm has been at the forefront of OR performance improvements to improve patient outcomes and profitability in an environment of declining reimbursement and higher clinical standards. The opportunity to provide our clients with new world-class services and high-value results is a challenge we are looking forward to delivering.”
