Summa Health Systems takes on Matthew Wayne as CMO

Summa Health System has hired Matthew Wayne, MD, in the new role of CMO for its accountable care organization, NewHealth Collaborative, and its growing employed physician group, Summa Physicians.

Before taking this position, Dr. Wayne held various roles at Cleveland, Ohio-based University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Most recently, he served as CMO for the CommuniCare Family of Companies, one of the nation’s largest post-acute care providers.

“I am impressed with Summa’s innovative programming and commitment to population health management,” Dr. Wayne said in a statement. “I am passionate about the current changes in healthcare. I see them as an incredible opportunity to re-design processes to improve how we care for our patients.”
