St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Montana Names Bruce Whitfield CEO, CFO

St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby, Mont., has named Bruce Whitfield, CPA, as its new CEO and CFO, according to a report by The Western News.

Mr. Whitfield was previously the CFO of the western Montana region of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services, where he oversaw two hospitals. Prior to that role, he served as CFO of St. James Healthcare in Butte, Mont., and regional director of financial planning and director of finance of St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont. He has more than 20 years of healthcare experience.

The hospital’s board first interviewed Mr. Whitfield for the open CFO position, and then offered him both the CEO and CFO roles after his interview, according to the report.
