Carolyn Petties was appointed market director of human resources at Edinburg-based South Texas Health System, effective Jan. 12, according to a Facebook post from the health system.
Ms. Petties joins STHS from Memphis Light, Gas & Water, where she served as director of human resources. South Texas Health System said she has 15 years of experience in HR, including eight years at the director level, and has worked across hospital systems, physician clinics and healthcare technology organizations.
South Texas Health System, a network of 12 facilities in the Rio Grande Valley, is operated by a subsidiary of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services, according to its website.
