1. Mr. Letson served at the helm of the hospital since March 2008.
2. During his tenure, the critical access hospital expanded outpatient clinics and services and recruited 26 new physicians.
3. Mr. Letson also led the hospital’s merger with Homer Medical Center, a primary care clinic, in 2012.
4. Prior to South Peninsula Hospital, he worked at Gilmore Health System in Amory, Miss., serving as CEO.
5. He is a fellow of the American College of Health Executives.
6. In 2013, the American Hospital Association honored Mr. Letson with the Grassroots Champion Award.
