Seton Medical Center Harker Heights CEO Matt Maxfield to leave in November: 4 things to know

Matt Maxfield, the CEO of Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (Texas), is leaving, effective Nov. 1, according to a Killeen Daily Herald report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Maxfield is taking on a new role as COO of Little River Healthcare in Rockdale, Texas.

2. He was named CEO of Seton in April 2011, prior to which he served as CEO of Brownwood (Texas) Regional Medical Center.

3. During his tenure at Seton, Mr. Maxfield helped the hospital achieve “top performance in employee and physician engagement, quality and patient satisfaction,” said Paul Kappelman, vice president of Seton’s parent company Plano, Texas-based LHP Hospital Group, according to the report.

4. Zach Dietze, currently the hospital’s assistant administrator, will serve as interim CEO.
