The new physician leaders are Chris Longbella, MD; Kamal Thapar, MD; and Chris Felton, MD. Dr. Longbella will serve as chairman of primary care development and will focus on facilitating division growth in the hospitals’ primary care practices, women’s and children’s services, outpatient services and rural networks. Dr. Thapar will continue in an expanded role as chairman of tertiary care development, where he will focus on assisting and supporting growth of current and future tertiary care services. Dr. Felton will act as the division’s chief medical officer.
By adding the new positions, Sacred Heart hopes to enhance primary care and tertiary care growth throughout the Wisconsin region.
