RWJBarnabas Health hospital taps CEO

Aaron Hajart was appointed president and CEO of Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J., part of West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health.

Mr. Hajart, who currently serves as COO, will begin the new role Jan. 1, according to a health system news release. He succeeds Patrick Ahearn, who joined Community Medical Center in 2016 as COO and became CEO in 2018.

Mr. Hajart began his tenure at RWJBarnabas Health as southern region senior vice president for service line and practice integration and has served in his current role since February 2024. 

Community Medical Center is a 592-bed teaching hospital.
