Presbyterian Healthcare Services taps physician as new CEO

Rishi Sikka, MD, was selected as the next CEO of Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services, effective Oct. 21.

Effective Oct. 21, Dr. Sikka will succeed Dale Maxwell, who is retiring, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

Dr. Sikka most recently served as president of Village Medical, a healthcare provider focused on offering coordinated primary care services, the release said. He also previously served as president of system enterprises for Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.

Currently, Dr. Sikka is a member of the Presbyterian board of directors. 

Presbyterian is a nine-hospital system with more than 13,000 employees.
