Prime announced the potential purchase — its second in Pennsylvania — in August.

According to the deal, Prime will maintain all services — including the emergency department — of Lower Bucks Hospital, invest at least $10 million for needed capital improvements and hire all employees as well as maintain collective bargaining agreements. Prime will also form a local governing board with medical staff and community leaders, assume all healthcare contracts and liabilities and maintain the same level of charity care for indigent and low-income patients going forward, according to the release.
