Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health has named two new leaders to its transformation and strategy team, according to a Sept. 24 news release.
Marthe Haverkamp, MD, PhD, has been named vice president of transformation and Matthew Kemmann has been named vice president of strategy. Both leaders started on Sept. 21.
In her new role, Dr. Haverkamp will lead enterprise-wide efforts focused on operational excellence, performance improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Dr. Haverkamp, a physician executive with extensive healthcare transformation experience, most recently served as a senior leader in the Healthcare Industry Group at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm.
In his new role, Mr. Kemmann will support the system’s enterprise strategic plan. He has nearly two decades of experience in strategic planning, business development, analytics and growth strategy.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Kemmann served as director of strategic planning and analytics at University Hospitals Health System.
