Chuck Prosper will retire as chief executive of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth’s Northwest region at the end of the year.
Mr. Prosper joined PeaceHealth in 2019 and has nearly 40 years of healthcare experience, according to an Oct. 13 news release. A physical therapist by training, he began his career in 1989 and has spent more than two decades in executive roles.
At PeaceHealth, he led the region through the COVID-19 pandemic and helped shape the master facilities plan for St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Wash., the release said. That plan includes the Peter Paulsen Pavilion, an expansion that will add about 120,000 square feet and 80 patient rooms.
PeaceHealth has begun searching for his successor. Mr. Prosper will remain in his role during the search and is expected to lead the region through the end of the year.
PeaceHealth has about 16,000 caregivers and nine medical centers in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
