PeaceHealth names chief philanthropy officer for Washington communities

Heather McEvoy was appointed chief philanthropy officer for PeaceHealth’s Vancouver and Longview, Wash., communities.

In the role, Ms. McEvoy will lead philanthropy strategy and operations for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center Foundation, according to a July 10 health system news release. She previously served as director of philanthropy for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation, where she contributed to the Healthcare Reimagined campaign, which raised more than $74 million and exceeded its goal by nearly 20%. Her prior experience includes philanthropy leadership roles at Portland State University Foundation, Legacy Health’s Randall Children’s Hospital Foundation and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation, the release said.

Vancouver-based PeaceHealth is a nonprofit Catholic health system with approximately 16,000 employees, more than 160 clinics and nine medical centers serving communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
