Executive Moves

The following leadership moves made by women have been reported by or shared with Becker's since Feb. 10:

Chief operating officers tend to know their organizations inside and out. It is not surprising that of the many CEO moves reported by Becker's in 2023, 14 have been internally promoted chief operating officers. 

Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine has appointed Eric Strucko, PhD, as its new CFO, effective April 1. He will replace Paul Castillo, who served as CFO since 2011.

Cara Beatty, MD, was selected as Providence Clinical Network chief executive for Eastern Washington and Montana, according to a Feb. 16 news release shared with Becker's.

Debbie Campbell has been dismissed as CEO of Thomas H. Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ill., WLDS1180 reported Feb. 16. 

Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Health System has named Brian Canfield its next CEO. 

Livingston (Mont.) HealthCare, an affiliate of Billings (Mont.) Clinic, has named Bruce Whitfield its next CEO, according to The Livingston Enterprise. 

Michael Hartke is the new president of Northwest Community Healthcare, based in Arlington Heights, Ill. 

Lady of the Sea General Hospital, based in Galliano, La., has named Lloyd Guidry Jr., PharmD, its next CEO. 

The Temple University Health System and Temple University Hospital, based in Philadelphia, named Chaudron Carter Short, PhD, EdD, RN, the system's new chief nursing executive, effective March 20.
