Owensboro (Ky.) Health has appointed Bridget Burshears, MD, as its next chief medical informatics officer.
Dr. Burshears will lead efforts to optimize clinical technology, improve usability for clinicians and advance the health system’s use of emerging tools, including AI, according to a Nov. 25 news release.
Dr. Burshears joined Owensboro Health in 2011 and previously served as NICU medical director. She later became assistant chief medical informatics officer before stepping into the chief medical informatics role.
