Oklahoma system names new CEO

Jeff Johnston has been named president and CEO of Tulsa, Okla.-based Hillcrest HealthCare System, effective July 14.

Mr. Johnston brings 30 years of experience with multi-state health systems and academic medical centers, according to a June 23 health system news release shared with Becker’s. He most recently served as president and CEO of Home State Health, a Centene subsidiary, and previously held roles at Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy and Cleveland-based MetroHealth.

He will succeed Kevin Gross, who is retiring.

Hillcrest HealthCare System operates eight hospitals and 82 sites of care.
