Here are four things to know about Mr. Martz.
1. He has been part of the executive team of OVHS&E since September and is leading the organization’s implementation of Meditech 6.1, a new EMR and financial system that provides a single, consistent view of the patient across all care settings.
2. In his new national committee role, he will work with other information technology executives nationwide to further changes to meaningful use stage 3, according to the report.
3. Ms. Martz is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, now Baldwin Wallace University, in Berea, Ohio, and The Ohio State University in Columbus. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.
4. He is a former member of Vantage RHIO CIO Advisory Board, the Ohio Multi-Agency CIO Council and is past co-chairman for the Ohio Data Privacy Subcommittee, which coordinates statewide IT security and data privacy initiatives and policies for the state.
