Ohio children’s hospital names pediatric surgery chief

Michael Dingeldein, MD, has been named chief of pediatric surgery for Cleveland-based University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Dingeldein has served as the hospital’s director for more than 10 years, according to a Jan. 28 news release. He has been interim chief of pediatric surgery since June.

UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a 244-bed academic medical center affiliated with Chase Western Reserve University School of Medicine. It is the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in Cleveland.
