Robert Hart, MD, Ochsner Health’s chief physician executive and president of the Ochsner Clinic, will retire Dec. 31 after 32 years of service.
He joined the New Orleans-based system in 1994 as a medical staff physician and has worked in a number of leadership roles over the years, according to a June 29 system news release.
“It has been the privilege of my career to serve our patients, communities and teams,” Dr. Hart said in a news release. “I’ve been so fortunate in my role as chief physician executive to work alongside talented individuals who are dedicated to being their best for the benefit of those we serve.”
Dr. Hart will be succeeded by Brian Moore, MD, effective Jan. 1. Dr. Moore currently serves as chief medical officer for Ochsner South Shore and Bayou regions, associate dean for clinical affairs at Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine, is in his third year on the Ochsner Health Board of Directors and serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Cancer Research Center.
