NYC Health + Hospitals has selected leaders to serve in two newly created roles focused on operational efficiency and AI strategy.
The health system appointed Kenra Ford as senior vice president of clinical services operations, a role in which she will focus on improving the efficiency of clinical operations and support services. Ms. Ford joined NYC Health + Hospitals in 2015 as assistant vice president of laboratories.
Over the past decade, she has led efforts to modernize operations across the system’s 11 acute care clinical laboratories, according to an April 24 news release. Her work has led to lower costs for laboratory tests and greater adoption of standardized work flows.
Additionally, the system recently named Divya Pathak as vice president and inaugural chief data and artificial intelligence officer. She previously served as chief data officer. In her expanded role, Ms. Pathak will lead systemwide strategy on data and AI, with the goal of improving the quality of patient care and operational performance. She will oversee a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement digital tools.
Ms. Pathak has spent nearly 20 years in data, technology and management roles.
