She succeeds Marla Koroly, MD, who is assuming a new role as associate ambulatory physician executive for the New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based health system’s Westchester and Connecticut region, a Nov. 9 news release said.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Sandel into this position and thank Dr. Koroly for her years of leadership,” said Derek Anderson, the hospital’s executive director.
Dr. Sandel, who joined Northern Westchester Hospital in 2018, most recently served as associate medical director, director of hospital medicine and director of medical education.
She previously served as physician advisor for patient experience and chief of the hospitalist division at New York City-based Lenox Hill Hospital, the news release said.
