Mr. Ferreri is not retiring, the report notes, but rather, he is planning to “take a look at something I may be able to do in the community.”
Mr. Ferreri previously served as president and CEO of Northwell Health’s Staten Island University Hospital, roles he held from 2003 until 2015, when he assumed his current positions. He was also named executive director of the health system’s western region in 2013.
In all, his healthcare career spans 40 years. He has worked at numerous organizations, including Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., where he was vice president of human resources, according to a 2015 press release from Northwell Health.
