Gainesville-based Northeast Georgia Health System has added four executives as it expands services across the region, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
Stephanie Jones, DNP, RN, joined July 27 as chief nursing officer of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, where she oversees all nursing operations, the release said. Dr. Jones most recently served as chief nursing officer at Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Fla.
Barry Jenkins, MD, was named systemwide chief medical officer Sept. 21. In the role, he oversees quality and safety, accreditation, research and hospital-based clinical services, according to the release. Dr. Jenkins most recently served as chief medical officer of Atlanta-based Piedmont’s hospitals near Augusta, Ga.
Callie Andrews joined Oct. 5 as senior vice president of the system’s southern market and service lines. According to the release, she oversees the market, which includes NGMC Braselton and NGMC Barrow, and leads systemwide service line development. Ms. Andrews most recently served as senior vice president and market president of Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center in Roswell, Ga.
William Potter, MD, will join Jan. 4 as chief medical officer of the southern market, the system said. Dr. Potter has been with Anesthesia Associates of Gainesville since 2019 and has held several leadership roles at the practice and the health system, including associate medical director of perioperative services at NGHS.
“Their leadership will help ensure we continue delivering high-quality care while thoughtfully growing to meet the needs of our region,” NGHS President and CEO Matt Hanley, MD, said in the release.
Northeast Georgia Health System has seven hospitals and more than 1,000 acute care beds, according to its website.
