Mr. Passama joined NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, formerly Intercommunity Hospital, as CEO in 1981. He led the organization as it grew into a two-hospital system, which also includes four campuses, a 100-provider medical group and 2,500 employees.
Mr. Passama serves on the boards of Western Health Advantage Health Plan and California Healthcare Insurance Company. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the California Hospital Association Board of Directors.
NorthBay Healthcare’s board of directors will begin the search for a new president and CEO. Mr. Passama will stay on as a consultant after he leaves his post in March next year.
